Why does the exam portal still say my photo is too big?
Some portals count 1 KB as 1,000 bytes and others as 1,024. We use 1,000, so a 50 KB target gives at most 50,000 bytes and passes either way.
Will my photo look worse after compressing?
We keep the best quality that fits the size. For very small limits like 10 to 20 KB, the pixel size is reduced as well.
Can I compress many photos at once?

What format is the compressed photo?
Always JPG, which most forms ask for. PNG and WebP photos are converted to JPG, and any transparent areas become white.
What if it can't reach my KB limit?
You get the smallest readable version and a note saying it couldn't get under the limit. Crop the photo first or try a slightly higher limit.
Can it also change the photo to a set size like 200 × 230 pixels?
No, this tool only reduces the file size. For exact pixel or cm sizes, use Resize photo, which also has an optional KB limit.
