Frequently asked questions
Can I change the existing text in my PDF?
Not directly. Cover the old words with White-out, then type the new text on top. It looks like an edit when viewed or printed.
Does White-out remove the text underneath?
No. It covers the text with a white box, but the original words are still inside the file and can be copied. To remove private details for good, use Redact PDF.
Can I fill in a form that has no fillable boxes?
Yes. Choose Text, tap where the answer should go and type. This works on any PDF form, including ones made from a scan.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
You can add text, images, signatures, boxes and drawings on top of scanned pages. You can't change the words that are part of the scan itself.
Can I add a signature or a photo while editing?
Yes. Tap Sign to draw, type or use a photo of your signature, or Image to place a photo or stamp. Drag to move it, and drag the blue dot or pinch to resize.
Can I add text in Hindi to a PDF?
Yes. Text you add can be in Hindi or English and can include the ₹ sign. You can change its colour and size and make it bold.
My PDF has a password. Can I still edit it?
Yes. Enter the password to open it. The edited copy you download won't ask for a password, so add one again with Protect PDF if you need it.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is processed inside your browser on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for Aadhaar, PAN, bank statements and other private documents.
