Can I chat with my PDF here today?
Not yet. Chat with PDF is still being built, so this page can't answer questions about your file right now.
What will Chat with PDF do?
You'll ask questions in plain words, like “What is the last date to apply?”, and get answers that point to the page they came from.
Will Chat with PDF work offline like the other tools?
No. Answering questions needs an AI service, so the text of your PDF would have to be sent to it. How exactly that will work hasn't been decided, and you'll be asked before anything is sent.
Will I be able to ask questions about a scanned PDF?
A scan has no readable text, so it will need OCR first. You can already run a scan through our OCR PDF tool to turn it into searchable text.
How can I find an answer in a long PDF meanwhile?
Use the search option in your PDF viewer, or pull out the text with PDF to Text and search or skim it there.
Will I need my own API key or an account?
That hasn't been decided yet. When it launches, this page will say clearly what it needs.
Will it answer questions in Hindi?
We'd like it to, but language support isn't final yet.
