Frequently asked questions

Does it handle commas inside quoted fields?

Yes. Quoted values that contain commas, quotes or even line breaks are read correctly and stay in one cell.

My CSV uses semicolons or tabs instead of commas. Will it work?

Yes. The separator is detected automatically (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe). If the preview looks wrong, change it under “Columns separated by”.

Is there a row limit for CSV files?

There is no fixed limit. The table continues over as many pages as needed, with page numbers. Very large files depend on your device's memory, so a laptop handles them more easily than an older phone.

My CSV has too many columns. How do I fit them on the page?

Choose Landscape and reduce the text size. Columns are narrowed to fit the page and long values wrap onto extra lines.

Will the header row repeat on every page?

Yes, when “First row is a header” is on. We guess whether your first row is a header, and you can switch it off if it isn't.

Hindi or the ₹ sign in my CSV shows as strange characters. Why?

The file is read as UTF-8. If it was saved in an older encoding, save it again as “CSV UTF-8” from Excel and try once more, and Hindi and ₹ will print correctly.

Should I use CSV to PDF or Excel to PDF?

Use Excel to PDF for .xlsx files, because it also keeps bold text, cell colours and merged cells. A CSV only holds plain values, so the PDF gets a clean striped table.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is processed inside your browser on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for Aadhaar, PAN, bank statements and other private documents.

Is it free? Do I need to sign up?

It is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
