Will my Word formatting stay the same in the PDF?
It depends on the button you use. “Print-quality PDF” opens your browser's print screen and keeps fonts and layout closest to the preview. “Download PDF” is quicker and keeps headings, lists, tables and images, but simplifies fonts and spacing.
Can I convert an old .doc file?
No. Only .docx files work. Open the .doc in Word or Google Docs, save it as .docx, and then convert it here.
Do I need Microsoft Word installed to convert a .docx?
No. The document is read right in your browser, so it works on an Android phone, iPhone or laptop without any office app.
How do I use “Print-quality PDF” on my phone?
Tap “Print-quality PDF” and choose “Save as PDF” as the printer in the print screen. If your browser blocks the print screen, use “Download PDF” instead.
Are headers, footers and text boxes from Word kept?
Not always. Word headers and footers are left out, and text boxes or special styles may come through as plain text. The “Download PDF” version adds its own page numbers.
Can I convert my Word CV or resume to PDF?

My .docx won't open. What could be wrong?
Password-protected or damaged documents can't be read. Remove the password in Word (or save a fresh copy as .docx) and try again.
