Frequently asked questions
Can I convert PowerPoint to PDF on this page right now?
Not yet. PowerPoint to PDF is still being built, so this page can't convert slides today.
How can I turn my slides into a PDF meanwhile?
In PowerPoint, use File > Save As (or Export) and choose PDF. In Google Slides, use File > Download > PDF document. Both keep your layout and fonts.
I only have the .pptx on my phone. What can I do?
Open it in the PowerPoint or Google Slides app and export it as a PDF from there. You can also save the slides as images and combine them with our JPG to PDF tool.
Will fonts and slide layouts be kept when the tool launches?
That is the goal: one slide per page, looking like your presentation. We will only switch the tool on once it does this reliably.
Will animations and transitions work in the PDF?
No. A PDF is a set of still pages, so every slide becomes a still page without animations, transitions or playing videos. This is true of any PowerPoint to PDF conversion.
Will speaker notes be included?
That hasn't been decided yet. If you need your notes now, PowerPoint can print or export Notes Pages as a PDF.
My presentation PDF is too big to email or send on WhatsApp. What can I do?
Run it through our Compress PDF tool, which works today. Slide decks with large photos usually get much smaller.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is processed inside your browser on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for Aadhaar, PAN, bank statements and other private documents.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up?
It is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
