Frequently asked questions

Does it support GitHub-style Markdown?

Yes. Tables, task lists, strikethrough, code blocks, block quotes and links all work. Raw HTML tags are turned into plain text.

Will my code blocks keep their formatting?

Yes. Code is printed in a fixed-width font on a grey background, with spacing and indentation kept. There is no colour syntax highlighting.

Are links clickable in the Markdown PDF?

Yes. Web, email and phone links are shown in blue and can be tapped or clicked in the PDF.

Why are images from my Markdown missing?

Images linked from the internet are not downloaded, so a short placeholder with the image's alt text appears instead. Images embedded in the Markdown itself as data are included.

Can I open a .md file instead of pasting?

Yes. Open the file and its text appears in the box, where you can still edit it. The first heading becomes the PDF's title and file name.

Can I write Markdown notes in Hindi?

Yes. Hindi (Devanagari) text and the ₹ sign print correctly alongside English. Other scripts such as Tamil or Bengali are not supported yet.

Do I need Pandoc or any other software?

No. It runs in your browser on a phone or laptop. You can set A4 or Letter, the text size and page numbers before downloading.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is processed inside your browser on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for Aadhaar, PAN, bank statements and other private documents.

Is it free? Do I need to sign up?

It is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
