Australia documents

Centrelink uploads, rental applications, ID copies and declarations. Every file is handled on your own device.

TFN declaration

A tax file number (TFN) declaration tells a new employer or super fund your TFN and how much tax to withhold. The ATO no longer offers the form as a download – many employers send their own PDF version, or you complete it online.

Commonwealth statutory declaration

A statutory declaration is a written statement you declare to be true. Since 1 January 2024, Commonwealth stat decs can be signed electronically, with the witness watching over video – or created in myGov without a witness.

Income statement

Your income statement (it replaced the payment summary) shows your pay and tax for the financial year. You find it in myGov under ATO › Employment › Income statements, and can save it as a PDF from there.

Centrelink documents

Centrelink asks for documents through your online account or the Express Plus app. Each upload can have up to 10 files, all together under 10 MB, as PDF, PNG or JPEG – and password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.

Medicare card

Your Medicare card is a common secondary ID in Australia – for 100-point ID checks, rental applications and new doctors.

Australian driver licence

An Australian driver licence is the most used photo ID for 100-point checks, rentals and bank accounts. Most checks want the front and back.

Rental application

Australian rental applications ask for a form plus supporting documents: photo ID adding up to 100 points, recent payslips or an income statement, and rental references.

Frequently asked questions

Why won't my PDF upload to Centrelink?

Usually it's too big (each upload has a 10 MB total limit), or it's password protected. Compress it, or remove the password, then try again.

What documents does a rental application need?

Typically the application form, 100 points of ID, recent payslips or an income statement, and rental references. Agents shortlist complete applications first, so send them as one PDF.

Are my documents uploaded?

No. The file opens inside your browser and never leaves your phone or computer – there's no upload, no account and nothing for us to store. That's why it's safe for tax forms, ID and bank documents.
