Privacy & security

Your document stays on your side of the screen.

PDFtada processes your documents in your browser. You don’t upload them to PDFtada’s servers to merge, edit, compress, or convert them.

01

Choose a file

Your browser reads the file you select on your device.

02

Work locally

The tool processes the document using your device’s memory and computing power.

03

Save your result

Download the result to your device. Sharing is an action you choose.

No server copy of your document

Document processing takes place on-device. PDFtada does not need a server-side retention period for those files. Downloaded results remain wherever you save them, and anything you choose to share is handled by the service you share it with.

What your browser remembers

Preferences such as your theme, starred tools, and recent tool links can stay in browser storage. Some tools also let you save reusable information, such as a signature or invoice details, locally. Use the tool’s controls or clear this site’s browser data to remove saved information, especially on a shared device.

Website analytics are separate

The live site uses Google Analytics and first-party tool-health events to understand usage and errors. These can include tool names, timing, broad file-size categories, and feedback. Local document processing does not mean the website makes no network requests: it also loads application assets and sponsor information.

Offline, once the tool is ready

Tools can work offline after the required application files have been cached. Open the tools you need while online first. Some resources, including OCR language data, may need an initial download, and your browser can remove cached files.

Clear assurances

Our badges describe how the product works; they are not third-party certification seals. Keep your browser and device up to date, and follow your organization’s requirements when handling sensitive documents.
